Defense Football Day camps: Lineup

Expert: John Falk

Born in Switzerland in 1990, Johnathan "John" Falk began his career in 2013 with the LUCF Owls, with whom he won the B-League National Championship in 2015, advancing to the NLA and being named league MVP.

That same year, John continued his career overseas with the Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jackets before returning to Europe in 2017 with the Thonon Black Panthers, who immediately won the European Football League (EFL).

After moving to the GFL and winning the 2019 Germanbowl with the New Yorker Lions, John declared his retirement as an active player to dedicate himself to his business and coaching at club level as well as the Swiss National Team. A retirement from which John resigned again in 2023 to compete with the Helvetic Guards in the ELF, where John was one of the top 5 defensive players and best tacklers in the league at the end of the season.

John Falk is among the absolute elite of American football, whether as an athlete or as a coach.

Experte: "The hännimal" Tim Hänni

Tim Hänni, a native of Köniz, Switzerland, learned the art of football with the Grizzlies in Bern, where he played as a 14-year-old tight end for the U-19 team.
In the same year (2014) as Tim won the championship with the Grizzlies, the then 17-year-old lineman was called up to the U-19 national team. Two years later, Tim, now playing with the adults, won the Swissbowl with the Grizzlies. Promotion to the adult national team followed shortly after.

The big sensation followed in 2021, when the Hamburg Sea Devils signed the then 25-year-old as the first Swiss player for the 2022 season in the ELF. In that season Tim reached the ELF final with the Sea Devils, was selected to the ELF All-Star Team and invited to the NFL International Combine in London.
In 2023 the #96 returned home where he played for the Helvetic Guards in 2023.
